Transfer of Equity

A transfer of equity happens when owners are added, or removed, from the legal title of a property. “Equity” is simply the residual value of the property after any mortgage, or charge is deducted from the current market value.

There are a number of reasons why owners might decide to transfer equity in a property, such as after a marriage, or as the result of a divorce. LPL are sensitive to the fact that there will be multiple parties involved in such matters and are experienced in dealing with the same.

You can rely on us

At LPL, we only recruit quality individuals so you can trust and rely on our people throughout the conveyancing process. Your Lawyer will be allocated to you upon receipt of your instructions and they will manage your case through to completion.

We can issue contracts to the buyer’s solicitor within 48 hours of your signed instruction. We will deal with any enquiries the buyer may raise with your assistance and will ensure that any queries that arise during the transaction are dealt with effectively by taking a practical approach.

The average turnaround of a conveyancing transaction can be anything between 8 to 12 weeks therefore we have decided as a firm; to set our conveyancing teams a target of being in a position to exchange contracts within 8 weeks.
